The letters in brackets indicate the University of California subject area requirement met by the indicated course.

College entrance GPAs are calculated using courses taken in 10th and 11th grade only and omit physical education classes.

The above 4 year plan is only one option students would have to meet the 4 year college or university minimum entrance requirements.

Each Comprehensive High School in the Antelope Valley Union High School District offers some choices in all of the UC / CSU required courses.

Effective with the fall 2003 admissions cycle, the University of California and California State University System have aligned their minimum course entrance requirements.  The U.C. schools remain more competitive when it comes to GPA and SAT/ACT scores.
